Maeve Ella is a senior majoring in American Studies and political science. She is originally from Cedar Rapids, Iowa, where she debated for four years at Cedar Rapids Washington high school. This will be her ninth year of competitive policy debate. Last season, she attended several major national tournaments finishing in octafinals of the National Debate Tournament, the Cross Examination Debate Association National Championship, and several others. She also received the prestigious honor of being selected as a CEDA All American. After this season, she plans to continue to be involved in debate coaching at both the college and high school level while also pursuing a graduate degree in communication studies or American studies.
