Maile is a 3rd year student from Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri studying Ethics and Public Policy and Philosophy. In addition to debate, Maile participates in Moot Court at Iowa as an oral argument competitor, where she utilizes many of her research and public speaking skills from debate. Maile's debate successes include breaking to quarterfinals at her first policy tournament ever, being Summa cum laude CEDA National Debate Scholar, breaking to triple octafinals at CEDA. After graduating in December 2024, she plans to pursue a graduate program in philosophy and work towards becoming a professor so she can pass on a love of learning to future students. In her free time, Maile enjoys knitting, crocheting decor for the squad room, cooking, and reading.
