Maile is a 2nd year student from Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri studying Ethics and Public Policy and Philosophy on the Pre-Law track. In addition to debate, she participates in Moot Court at Iowa as the Vice President of Operations where she applies many of the research and public speaking skills attained in debate. In high school she competed in Lincoln Douglas debate for four years with great success before coming to Iowa Debate and navigating a swift shift to Policy debate at the collegiate level. Maile plans on attending law school to continue advocacy practices and pursue intellectual interests stemming from her experiences in debate. In her free time, Maile enjoys reading philosophy, knitting, and cooking.
