Maile is originally from Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri. She graduated from the University of Iowa in Fall 2024 with her BA in Philosophy and Ethics & Public Policy. During her time debating at Iowa, she was a CEDA All American, and reached outrounds at multiple tournaments. Currently, she is pursuing her PhD in philosophy at Iowa, focusing her research on philosophy of artificial intelligence and social metaphysics. In addition to coaching for Iowa Debate, Maile coaches the University of Iowa's Ethics Bowl team. Outside of her academic and coaching pursuits, Maile enjoys knitting, exploring Iowa City coffee shops, and reading.
