Nate is a Senior debater from Iowa City, IA. He is majoring in Political Science and Secondary Education with a minor in Economics. In high school he debated for Iowa City West high school where he accumulated nine bids to the Tournament of Champions, as well as making elimination rounds of the Tournament of Champions twice. In college he has reached quarterfinals of the Cross-Examination Debate Association twice. In his free time, he enjoys reading, playing chess, and playing basketball. Along with participating in debate he also coaches students from across the country, he is an adjunct debate coach for Lake Highland Preparatory School in Orlando, FL and an assistant policy debate coach for Iowa City West High School in Iowa City, IA.
