Spencer is a linguistics major originally from Edina, Minnesota. He had a successful high school career with six bids and two TOC appearances. Spencer spent two years attending and debating for the University of Minnesota with outround appearances at a number of tournaments including Gonzaga, ADA, and CEDA nationals. After two years at Minnesota, he transferred to the University of Iowa to pursue his interest in critical debate on both the affirmative and negative. Outside of debate, Spencer has an interest in language learning and enjoys reading and listening to music in other languages.
